Important Faculty Guidelines

To ensure that the scientific programme remains sharp, interactive, and on time, we kindly request you to follow the guidelines below as applicable to your role.

Speakers

Important instructions
  1. Maximum 15 - 20 slides please keep the content focused and practical.
  2. Strict timing โ€” presentations will automatically move to the conclusion slide when the allotted time ends.
  3. Please include 1 MCQ in your presentation for audience interaction during the session.
  4. Please send us 1 additional challenging MCQ separately, with 4 options and the correct answer, before the meeting. This will remain confidential and be used for the India Valves Knowledge Challenge.
  5. Please upload your final presentation in advance as per the instructions shared.

Moderator

5 key commitments
  1. Please be at the hall 15 minutes before your session.
  2. Start and finish exactly on time. Keep speakers strictly to their allotted time.
  3. There are no formal tea/lunch breaks. Please announce: "Please feel free to step out briefly for refreshments and come back."
  4. Keep transitions short and protect discussion time.
  5. Ensure the Knowledge Challenge MCQ is conducted at the designated point in the session.

Chairperson / Expert Panel

Make the discussion sharp
  1. No mini-lectures from the panel. Keep responses short and practical.
  2. Direct focused questions to named panelists, rather than asking generally, "Any comments?"
  3. Use quick formats frequently: "One sentence from each panelist" / "Agree or disagree?" / "Show of hands" / "Audience vote."
  4. Bring the discussion back to clinical decision-making and controversies .
  5. Close with one take-home message when appropriate.
